Summer is almost here and we can’t wait to enjoy the sunshine and warm weather along Melbourne’s urban peninsula. These events are fun for the whole family and will ensure you’re making the most of the summer season.
In February 2019, Park Cinema – our free open-air movie theatre – will be returning for another stellar season. The exciting new program will be announced in the coming month, with tickets released through EventBrite shortly afterwards. Interest in our free Park Cinema series is growing, with many of our 2018 shows free ticket allocation becoming exhausted in record time. New Year’s Eve
Get yourself a spot in Docklands and enjoy watching the sky come alive for the New Year’s Eve festivities. Head down to Buluk Park outside Library at the Dock from dusk on Monday December 31 to snag your seat on the lawn. From here, you’ll have great views of the Light House’s hourly light shows, then make your way down to Harbour Esplanade as the clock creeps towards midnight to watch the fireworks display from the waterfront.
Light House at 888 Collins St will also be running a special Christmas lights show from December 1 right up until Christmas on December 25.
While there are fun water-based activities you can enjoy in Victoria Harbour all year long, the peak season to head out on the water is between December and February.
