Can you believe we are almost half way through winter?

Don’t let the cold weather stop you from getting out and about. Here are some great events and activations to enjoy in Victoria Harbour and Docklands this July. 

MIFF Trivia at our brand-new retailer Chilangos

Trivia, tacos and drinks. How could one resist? We are bringing Melbourne International Film Festival to Victoria Harbour with a fun-filled trivia event at Chilangos Mexican Cantina, 839 Collins Street, on Wednesday 31 July from 6pm – 7:30pm. Join us to indulge in a Mexican fiesta while testing your knowledge of Australian film plus more. The $15 ticket includes two tacos with a beer/wine/or soft drink. There will be a range of fantastic MIFF prizes to win on the night. Stay tuned for more information which will be announced via our Facebook Page.    

Snapped: Our Changing Melbourne

Snapped is the City of Melbourne Libraries’ biennial photography competition that encourages photographers to consider the city through a particular theme. This year’s competition theme is ‘our changing Melbourne’. Over 2000 entries were received and the shortlisted and winning entries are on display at Library at the Dock until Sunday 7 July. The gallery is free, so stop by to marvel at the beautiful photographs and witness how this city has changed over time.

Victoria Harbour Camera Day competition

While you’re out and about in Victoria Harbour, don’t forget to keep your camera close by, ready to capture some great shots of your own for our Camera Day competition. All you need to do is post your favourite photo of Victoria Harbour on Instagram with the hashtag #myvictoriaharbour and tag us for your chance to win two tickets to MIFF’s opening night, valued at $310.

MND Charity Event at TAP831

TAP831 is a go-to for its great brews, local wines and bustling events calendar. On Saturday 13 July, the local bar is running a charity event which supports the MND Daniher foundation. Former Essendon player Simon Madden will be hosting the event, and more details about live entertainment, special guests and ice-bucket challenges will be announced soon. Tickets are $20 per person and include nibbles and a drink on arrival. Keep an eye on TAP831’s Facebook page for updates.

District Docklands Ice Slide

Looking for something to do with your kids during the school holidays? District Docklands has you covered with a giant ice slide at 440 Docklands Drive, right outside UNIQLO. Entry to the slide is a gold coin donation, with funds going towards Kids Under Cover. You can race down the slide from 11am - 5pm daily, from 29 June – 24 July, 2019.
