Now in its sixth year, Rising, the Victoria Harbour Young Artist Initiative 2013 is a public sculpture exhibition presented by students of Sculpture and Spatial Practice at the Victorian College of the Arts.

From 9 May to 2 June 2013, seven sculptures were on display near Water Plaza along Victoria Harbour Promenade:

• ‘Look’ by Lauren Joelle Berkeley
• ‘Other than human’ by Julie Forster
• ‘Just Another Part of You’ by Kaho Hashimoto
• ‘Full Circle Coverage’ by June Lam & Scarlett Rowe
• ‘Integrated Urban Art Program’ by Aodhan Madden
• ‘Link’ by Rowan Oliver
• ‘Untitled’ by Eitan Ritz.

Rising offers artists at the commencement of their careers an opportunity to experience the challenges and rewards of developing and exhibiting major works for public spaces. This
program is jointly presented by the Victorian College of the Arts, and Lend Lease, with support from Places Victoria and Parks Victoria. The program was curated and coordinated by Laura Woodward with Sarah Jane Haywood.
