What’s on in Docklands this winter

Docklands continues to grow as   a vibrant and up-and-coming area with events happening all year round. While many of us might be considering hibernation this winter, there’s a huge range of activities taking place right on our doorstep that will warm you up on the frostiest of Melbourne nights.

Docklands Harvest Festival

This new event at Buluk Park will run from Friday 19th to Saturday 20th May and includes hands-on activities such as lantern-making, gardening for balconies, and pickling and preserving workshops. With live music, plenty of delicious food from local traders and the ritualistic burning of a large wooden sculpture, this is an event you don’t want to miss.

Winter Solstice Light Show

Head to 888 Collins St on Tuesday 20th June and prepare to be delighted by a special Winter Solstice Light Show. The dynamic weather-based light installation will take a break from its usual weather forecasting to display a vibrant interpretation of winter lights. For five nights only, this show will run every hour from 5pm - midnight until Sunday 25th June.

Twitter for Speakers Workshop at the Knowledge Market

Enrol in Twitterversity to learn the basics of Twitter, including how to build an online community as well as who to Tweet to and what to Tweet. With a focus on building a narrative into your digital strategy, this two hour workshop on the 28th June at Victoria Harbour’s Knowledge Market. Don’t forget to book your spot here!
