The City of Melbourne has officially launched the program for the 2018 Docklands Firelight Festival, and this year you can get amongst the winter fun in Victoria Harbour.
Here are all the events to warm up your winter:
Firelight Festival Opening Weekend
29th June – 1st July
Drawing on the traditions of the winter solstice, come down Docklands for a spectacular weekend to mark the opening of the festival. With nightly pyrotechnics, roving performers, hot food and drinks and eclectic musical performances from all over the world, the three Docklands promenades (including our own Victoria Harbour Promenade) will be brought to life with scorching entertainment.

Storytelling in Buluk Park
5th July at 5pm and 7pm
Join us in Buluk Park with renowned author, comedian and media personality, Jo Stanley for an intimate evening exploring the themes of her new book series, ‘Play Like A Girl’ . Bring your picnic blankets, rug up with warm jackets and enjoy enlightening fireside chats.
Tickets include an antipasto platter and wine for adults, and a hot chocolate and panini for children. You can also purchase a customised hamper from chocolatier Kep Whitley and or a modern Italian basket from Saluministi.

Dining at Docklands Saluministi Workshop
24th July at 6pm
That’s Amore Cheese and Victoria Harbour’s beloved Italian street food eatery, Saluministi, present the ultimate cheese-making workshop, complete with a cheese tasting and selection of wine to match.

17th July (TAP831) and 26th July (Watermark Docklands) at 6pm
If you’re a fan of great food and live entertainment, then you’ll want to make it down to the Speakeasy Series events.
Throughout the two-hour event, you’ll devour a selection of delicious tapas accompanied by a glass of wine while your toes tap along to music that will make you want to dance the night away.
Tickets must be purchased before the event, there is no capacity for walk-ins.
