An Italian Christmas in Melbourne

According to Frank from Saluministi, an Italian Christmas wouldn’t be complete without roast porchetta and panettone.

The café is taking orders for the traditional Italian favourites now, until they sell out.


Saluministi’s free range porchetta is hand rolled and seasoned in-house, and comes with instructions so you can easily roast it at home. They cost $35 per kilo, with a minimum order of 2kg. Orders must be placed by 5pm on Friday 15th December, and picked up by the 23rd December.


A traditional Italian dessert reserved only for Christmas, Panettone make for a deliciously sweet end to a perfect meal (and the best bread and butter pudding). Saluministi’s pannetones have been traditionally prepared by a small, local supplier, with strictly limited stock to sell. They are $45 each, and are available with either chocolate chips or sultanas and candied fruits, until the 23rd December, unless sold out prior.

Saluministi Victoria Harbour will be closed from 23rd December until 15th January 2018, so any Christmas or catering orders will need to be placed prior to Christmas to be confirmed before the new year.
