Celebrate 200 years of Jane Austen
This year marks 200 years since the death of Jane Austen and Library At The Dock is celebrating her astonishing body of work with a series of events and readings. View the By A Lady exhibition and be sure to check out some of the tours, discussions and readings taking place this winter.

School holidays activities
Bring your kids down to Library At the Dock these school holidays for fun and free activities. There are reading activities for different age groups, drop-in crafternoons, and science sessions for little learners where they can make their own volcano or learn about the solar system.

Writing activities in preparation for the Lord Mayor’s Award
In the lead up to the Lord Mayor’s Creative Writing Awards, which close on the 31st August, the Library at the Dock is hosting some creative writing and editing workshops to help you complete your work and be in the running for the main prize. The free workshops will run over the next few months and cover topics including Graphic Short Story, Editing and Short Story writing.

Join the Docklands History Group this month to learn more about the many ways The Melbourne Map has changed in the past 27 years, including the evolution of the Docklands area. Melinda Clarke, the driving force behind The Melbourne Map, will share her research and love for our great city with our Docklands History Group.
