Understand the children’s publishing industry | Saturday 19 November

Want to make your break into children’s storytelling but don’t know where to begin? This Story Sparks workshop is perfect for aspiring children's book writers to meet likeminded writers and find out more about the children's publishing industry.

The workshop will be run by Bernadette Kelly, an established children's author with over 35 published books within a variety of genres and age groups, alongside guest speaker Corinne Fenton, an award-winning published children’s author in Australia and around the world.

With their wealth of industry experience and expertise, you’ll get insider tips and techniques on the writing craft, and have the opportunity to receive constructive feedback on your own work.

Lead through the power of storytelling | Monday 21 November

Everyone has the potential to be a good leader, it’s just a matter of honing the right tools and skills. Of these, the ability to communicate a vision to others is particularly important. That’s why the good folks at Storywell are running this one off workshop dedicated to storytelling for leaders.

Through a combination of presentations and exercises, Storywell’s StoryLead workshop will introduce you to the fundamental aspects of storytelling – and show you how you can use these to mine your own professional history for significant moments of transformation and transition that will help you engage audiences in an authentic and impactful way.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll emerge with a clearer understanding about the principles of storytelling as an aid to leadership and be ready to start structuring and delivering your own!
