How to celebrate Coffee Appreciation Month in Victoria Harbour

The ultimate guide to some of the best brews in the precinct.

On 1 October, the world celebrated International Coffee Day. And, since there is no denying that coffee is an iconic part of Melbourne’s culture, Victoria Harbour has launched Coffee Appreciation Month, extending the celebration of all things caffeine right throughout October. So, whether you like a piping hot Americano or a standard flat white, here are some of the great places in Victoria Harbour to catch up with friends and fill up your reusable cup in the precinct.

Blended Beard

The team at Blended Beard live and breathe coffee. They believe in passion and precision with high quality beans coming from the world’s finest small to medium sized roasters. For something different, head in to sample their alternative coffee techniques, including cold drip and aeropress.

Find them at 818 Bourke St

Caffe Bambino

Caffe Bambino makes an epic espresso. Its barista is a master of the coffee machine, creating brews that pair wonderfully with the café’s selection of cakes. Take it away in your reusable coffee cup to enjoy it in the park or on your way to work.

Code Black

Code Black is celebrated for roasting the highest grade of international coffee with a focus on quality craftsmanship. Code Black isn’t just a café, it’s a laboratory, a workshop, and a hub for coffee connoisseurs too, so be sure to pay it a visit when you are craving your next espresso.

Neo Lemonade

Neo Lemonade is new to the precinct and already a favourite among Victoria Harbour locals. With an appreciation for seasonal produce, this café isn’t afraid to push the boundaries and experiment with other unique latte flavours such as pea flower and beetroot.

Saluministi take a traditional approach to coffee making. Their methods have been passed on through generations of Italians who have formed a national identity around the sacred brew. You must try their stove top coffee with cremino and biscotti for a sensory experience that will take you all the way back to the Amalfi Coast.

Wheelly Good Coffee

The baristas at Wheelly Good Coffee are pouring with a purpose. The social enterprise was established to provide training and employment opportunities for young people who deserve a second chance.
